Undergraduate Fees & Scholarships

Tuition & Fees (2026-2027 Academic Year)

All payments at WKU must be made in RMB

Annual Fees

  • Tuition: RMB 88,000 (The latest approved price shall prevail)
  • Accommodation: RMB 8,000 – RMB 10,000  (Based on 10 months per academic year)
  • Insurance: RMB 800

One-time Fees

  • Application Fee: RMB 400
  • Deposit: RMB 10,000 

Note:

The application fee and deposit are required of all students, including scholarship recipients.

※The application fee is payable only upon admission, while the non-refundable deposit will be applied to tuition fees upon enrollment.

 

Freshmen Scholarships

 

Categories

1. First-Class Scholarship: 60% reduction of the academic year's tuition fees.

2. Second-Class Scholarship: 30% reduction of the academic year's tuition fees.

Freshmen Scholarships are renewed annually for the entirety of four-year program, on the condition that all renewal requirements are met. The renewal policy and relevant notifications will be communicated to applicants via email.

 

Eligibility

For newly admitted international undergraduate students (transfer students not eligible).

 

How to Apply

When applying through the WKU undergraduate application system, please select “Yes” in the scholarship intention section and upload the required supporting documents in the materials section. Scholarship review is conducted concurrently with the undergraduate admission evaluation, and the results will be issued along with the admission offer.

 

Deadline: June 30 (Fall intake)

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who meet ONE of the following criteria are eligible for the corresponding scholarship.

High School GPA ≥ 3.5/4.0

High School GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0

SAT ≥ 1300 (Reading + Math)

SAT ≥ 1250 (Reading + Math)

ACT ≥ 27 (Composite)

ACT ≥ 25 (Composite)

AP: 4, 4, 5 or above in three subjects

AP: 4, 4, 4 or above in three subjects

A‑Level: AAB in three subjects

A‑Level: ABB in three subjects

IB: Total score ≥ 32

IB: Total score ≥ 30

UEC: Five-subject total ≤ 25 (Includes Chinese, English, Math + 2 major-related subjects)

UEC: Five-subject total ≤ 28 (Includes Chinese, English, Math + 2 major-related subjects)

English Test: TOEFL 98  or (1 – 6 TOEFL iBT 5.0) / IELTS 7.0 / Duolingo 130 or above

English Test: TOEFL 87 or(1 – 6 TOEFL iBT 4.5) / IELTS 6.5 / Duolingo 120 or above

 

Important Notes

  1. Applicants using high school GPA to apply for scholarships must include NACES-evaluated transcripts (U.S. credentials exempt).
  2. Applicants whose native language is English may not apply for scholarship based on English proficiency test scores.
